Image and Imagination from the Middle Ages: Illuminated Manuscripts in the Loras College Rare Books Collection
“Flemish Book of Hours” is an early 15th century illuminated manuscript bound in parchment.  It was made for use in England and includes 179 vellum leaves. It is a Middle Age manuscript famous for its exquisite marginalia found throughout.  The scenes depict everything from laymen to angels.

The “Roman Missal” is from 1480 and contains illuminations, miniatures, and extensive musical portions pertaining to the Catholic Mass.
